Architectural Note: The building features exposed structural elements of indigenous material, including the shingles, the truss, the rood screen, and the chancel. These elements were constructed using bark, branches, and twigs. | Historical Note: Bacon, the architect of the Lincoln Memorial, designed several buildings around Linville due to his association with the MacRae family of Wilmington. Agnes MacRae Parsley donated the money to build the church.
