Description Note: All information regarding the house comes from the research notes of the delineator of associated drawings. | Provenance: Solomon Ruffin Perry (former Revolutionary War captain), first owner; Thomas Nicholas and Elizabeth Boddie Perry Alston, mid-nineteenth century owner; Walter Alston, Jr. and Mrs. John Mott, mid-twentieth century owner | Historical Note: Perry's father, Burwell Perry, lived at Cascine, a large plantation near Louisburg. The delineator's 1960s photographs show the home in a state of extreme disrepair.
