Nelson Rockefeller commissioned this sculpture in 1978 to update and enhance the lobby. There are ten units of nearly 1,600 metal pieces with gold and copper leaf attached to vertical stainless steel cables in light boxes. Each unit is 35 feet high, 7 feet wide and 2 feet deep.
