Image description:
The earth over which concrete was cast to form this structure was molded by a caterpillar tractor, thus ¿cat¿-cast. Once a dormitory for workshop participants the house now serves as a residence for Cosanti staff artisans. The adjacent apse faces south to form a courtyard in front of the house. It was cast in the sections over wooden tent poles supported by scaffolding.
