Image description:
In a Cambodian legend, the n¿ga were a reptilian race of beings from whence sprang the Cambodian people. They are frequently used at the base of stairs and entrances, because they also symbolize the rainbow, a bridge. The number of heads differ and have numerological symbolism. The lion was a chosen guardian by Brahma, so a guardian of the palace of the Gods.
