The dramatic climax of the R¿m¿ya¿a is shown on a frieze 54 m long in the north wing of the west gallery. Rama and his brother Lakshmana fight, with the help of the army of monkeys and bears, against the demon ruler of Lanka, Ravana and his army, to free the abducted Sita.
