The vestibule of the church was originally a passage hall between the calidarium (hot bath, now lost) and the tepidarium (luke-warm bath), which is now the transept. The statue is St. Bruno of Cologne (1035-1101), founder of the Carthusians. It was made by Jean Antoine Houdon between 1766 and 1768.
