Image description:

Eleven peridotite stones stand as islands in a sea of white shirakawa sand. After much searching, designer-architect Ken Nakajima found in the asbestos mines of Thetford Mines (Qu¿bec) the stone chose for the "base" of the garden. The surface of the rock is covered with green serpentine.
